The deal we made with the Salish (the hotel where C&B will take place) was to reserve a large block of rooms for the nights of the event (December 9-10-11). We also got the Salish to extend the special event rate to three nights before and after the event, i.e., December 6-8 and 12-14. For these pre- and post-event nights, we did not reserve rooms. That means that such rooms are subject to availability, and we just found out that for the night of Sunday, December 8, the Salish is now sold out. If you have been thinking about staying at the Salish before or after C&B, this is a good reason to make your reservations as soon as possible.

If you are arriving on Sunday, December 8, and have not yet booked a room at the Salish, here are two options for dealing with its sold-out status:

1. Stay the night in downtown Seattle.  There are many fantastic hotels to choose from.

2. Call the the Salish reservation number (800-272-5474 or 425-888-2556) and ask to be put onto a waiting list. Should a room open up, you will be contacted by the hotel.

In any case, please have a backup plan for the Sunday night prior to the event as we are fresh out of tents and sleeping bags. And it gets cold in December.

Don’t forget that the room block for the nights of C&B (December 9-11) expires on November 15, so you’ll want to be sure to make your reservation for those nights no later than that.

All of the information is on the C&B venue page.
