What is C++ and Beyond?
An intensively technical C++-based conference-like event organized by and featuring Scott Meyers, Herb Sutter, and Andrei Alexandrescu. Details are at the C&B Home Page.
How much does it cost?
That depends on whether you register during the Early Bird period. The Registration Page has all the details.
What’s included in the cost of registration?
The reception the first evening, breakfasts and lunches each day, participation in all technical and evening sessions, Internet access throughout the hotel, and ample opportunities to talk with Herb, Andrei, and Scott, as well as fellow C&B participants. You’re also entitled to a copy of all presentation materials in both PDF and color hardcopy formats.
What’s not included?
Primarily travel costs, which means you’ll need to make your own hotel reservation. Details on how to do this, including information on how to get the special C&B room rate, are at the C&B Hotel Page. You’ll also be responsible for your dinner each night.
Where does C++ and Beyond take place?
At The Salish Lodge. To get to the Lodge, consult the Getting to C&B Page.
What’s the daily schedule?
Consult the C&B Schedule Page.
What’s the expected background for C++ and Beyond participants?
C++ and Beyond is designed for active C++ developers, and anybody who works with the language on a regular basis will benefit from the event. C&B talks often assume familiarity with major C++11 language features (e.g., rvalue references, move semantics, lambda expressions, and variadic templates), but expertise is not expected. If you’re a serious C++ developer with at least a year or two of experience, you have what it takes to benefit from C++ and Beyond.
What if I register and then need to cancel?
Provided you cancel at least 30 days before C&B begins, we’ll issue a full refund. Otherwise, we’ll issue a full refund if we can replace you with somebody on the waiting list. If you cancel less than 30 days before C&B, and we can’t replace you with somebody from the waiting list, we’ll assess a cancellation fee of $750 to cover fixed costs we’ll be unable to recoup.
How can I get more information?
Send email to [email protected]. We’ll be happy to answer all your questions.

Dear Sirs,
Will you hold the seminar in Europe also? Somewhere close to a large airport hub would be good, maybe in the new Berlin hub (Berlin is a fantastic venue for a conference!).
Best regards,
/Erik Alapää (software consultant and mathematician)

Why don’t you have a discounted price for students.

Hi Francisco, while we don’t provide specific discounts for students, we did offer ‘early bird’ pricing for many weeks and we also offer an alumni discount to past attendees.
